How This Web Site Works

To facilitate education on the new training and employment systems that can help you, this Website provides information on the systems and links to specific resources. The purpose is to introduce various elements of the new system in a context that makes sense and provide links for additional research.

As we discuss various elements of current legislation and how it works in Kansas, we will provide hyperlinks within and to other pages on the website that will help you navigate. For example, if you have scrolled down on the page, clicking on "Return to Top" will bring you back to the top of the web page.

For those who are already familiar with the WIA and TWWIIA Acts, or who have visited this Introduction previously, the set of buttons down the left side of a page will take you directly to other web pages on this site.

About Us	Includes information about the “Kansas Benefits Counseling Network” (KBCN) project, which is part of a cooperative agreement between the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation of Kansas and the Social Security Administration, as well as information on who may benefit from our services.
What's New	Announcements of upcoming changes with Social Security and events or training through the KBCN.  Primarily of interest to people with disabilities and rehabilitation professionals may be the links to examples of benefit analysis and management provided by the KCBN and links to information on orientation and continuing education for Network partners.
Contact Us	Includes information on how to contact the project staff members at the CPRF-KBCN in person, by phone, and by regular or e-mail as well as a listing of KCBN Partners.
Links	We hope this is one of the most valuable pages on this website for you. We've tried to bring together (in one location) access to almost all of the State Agencies and other organizations in Kansas that are involved with services, training and employment for people with disabilities.
WorkWORLD	WorkWORLD is computer software that helps people and their benefits counselors manage their income and healthcare benefits in ways that permit them to complete training and become employed. This page contains information about WorkWorld and includes a hyperlink to the site.
Kansas Job Link	This web page includes employer job information, jobseekers information and Client Case Manager information. It also contains a hyperlink to the Kansas Job Link page.
Benefits Counselors Only	This part of the Kansas Benefits Counselors Network website provides information for Network Benefits Counselors and allows them to communicate confidential information to the CPRF-KBCN project staff members.
